Econ100 provides:

1. Quiz: 40 multiple choice questions on most chapters organized in four levels. Take a quiz every week to test your progress. When you take a quiz, you get instant responses.

  • Level 1 tests whether you know the terms and concepts. Take this quiz if you are having trouble remembering definitions and concepts.
  • Level 2 tests your ability to use terms and concepts.
  • Level 3 is more challenging and tests whether you can use economic theory to do calculations and make predictions. In most schools, you can get an 'A' if you can deal with level 2 and level 3 questions.
  • Level 4 is quite challenging. It tests whether you can use economic theory to do calculations and make predictions in more complicated situations. Take this quiz only if you have a high score on level 3.

2. Economics in the News: A weekly economic news event that takes you to Internet news sites and other related sites. It includes questions that test your ability to interpret everyday events using economic principles and ideas. This feature is linked to chapters of the textbook and is archived.

3. Reading Between the Lines: Based on a web news story. This feature is similar to "Reading Between the Lines" in the Parkin text but it takes advantage of the Internet and provides links to other relevant sites. Study Reading Between the Lines to improve your understanding of real events. Your instructor might use Reading Between the Lines as assignments.

4. Point-Counterpoint: A periodically updated debate designed to present you with two sides of an argument.

5. Economic Links: Web links to help you with assignments and end-of-chapter problems.

6. Bulletin Board: A place where students and instructors may post messages and create new topics for discussion. Use this facility to share your views and problems with other students around the world.

7. Great Economists: Learn about the Nobel Prize winners in economics and other interesting things about great economists, past and present.

8. Spot the Economist: Identify the famous economist in the photograph. Play this game every week and win an Econ100 T-shirt.
